Web design is about much more than creating a design that is fresh and appealing.

Any web site that is to become successful as a sales and marketing tool needs to be intuitive and easy to use for first-time and repeat visitors.

Included in this project was a simple SEO task, wich is currently being done!

Business Power Web website is up and running!

Business Power Web just launched their new website. It’s a complete revamp of my contractor’s site,

including an ajax animated navigation and portfolio gallery.

It was built with simplicity and effectivity in mind, without compromising the look and feel of the design.

I’ve also developed the logo for it, with clean, sharp colors, and servers on the back, since the companie’s history revolves arround hosting and web services.

Have a look at the website, all imput is, as usual, greatly appreciated!

Thanks

So, just to give this a little update over my last few months!

Since the last post, i’ve been very very busy with new websites, and here’s the list with features and what’s in it!

Advanced Training Solutions Site: www.atsprd.com

Required: Client wanted a professional site for his China based training company. Clean and catchy look where a requirement, which we accomplished with the use of well defined gradients. There was a need for a test system, so he can evaluate his potential client’s needs right off the internet.

Platform: Wordpress

Newcroft Training ServicesSite: www.newcroft.net

Required: Client wanted a professional looking website, with clean lines and use of ajax styling. Using mootools effects, the navigation has a good looking slide effect, which gives some motion to the website. Also, the system, complete with administration panel, has a news system and a shopping cart, with a unique function. It doesn’t send you to paypal or any other payment gateway. Instead, sends an equiry email to the administrator of the website. Good feature for those who, like this company, doesn’t wish to sell training packages online, but to raise clients instead.

Platform: Wordpress

Cafe Pelicano Site: www.cafepelicano.com

Required: Simple site, brochure like, to advertise a coffee shop in Barcelos, north of Portugal. Use of some AJAX for the drop down menus, and some flash for the top header images. Lightbox was also included to display all the images in a cool looking way. The site is in portuguese, and no translation is available.

Platform: Wordpress

Chicago Escort Review Site: www.chicagoescortreview.com

Required: Being an escort review site, there was a need for an appealing, clean site, with a professional styling. In terms of funcionality, a backend was needed, in order to update the classifieds section, along with a forum, for the reviews. Contact forms and disclaimers where also needed.

Platform: Wordpress

So, after this, it’s obvious that i have a passion for wordpress… i know! :D it’s just a wonderfull platform to work with, what can i say?

Anyway, thanks for you time!

Here it is, my latest project so far!

www.searchindiajobs.com

This is a Medical, pharmacy and bulk drugs job board related website.

My task was to create a design able to fit the needs of a simple website, while maintaining a professional and organized look.

I think that this task was well achieved with a sober use of colors, as well as image assisted menus.

The software used was the famous Jamit job board, available at www.jamit.com, for, obviously, a fair price!

Take a look at Search India Jobs, let me know what you think! :)

LusoSub Is done!

by Filipe Sena | January 4, 2008 | In News, Portfolio | No Comments

…Well, 95% done! Which isn’t bad! I must say that this project has been a big time challenge to me, as I’m running in between 3 different projects!

Focusing on this particular project, I must say, the hardest bit to accomplish was to get a hold of one of the team members to help me out building this webpage.

One thing I always do is, work along with the client! There’s no point on doing something that won’t please them, isn’t that right?

So, the first challenge was this. The second was to translate that website to English!

In spite my good English skills, I must say that technical diving words weren’t on my dictionary. So, it took me some time to figure out exactly how to translate some bit’s and bob’s of that website.

Either way, here’s the final product:

www.lusosub.com

Hope that you, the visitor, enjoy the ride over the wonderful world of professional diving services!

And a big thank you to the LusoSub team, for being so patient with me :)

Regards

E.Designs undertook a new project over the last couple of weeks!

Currently, our effort is going towards finishing the project “LusoSub” , which is all about the newly created professional diving services here, in Portugal.

This website was made to fill a gap on their services, which wasn’t covering the internet side of the business. So, considering this is both a young and serious company, the theme had to incorporate a sober, water’ish, fresh look.

One of the most challenging tasks while building up this website was to provide a logo! Thinking in diving services only brought to my mind, as a creative, a more than used diving helmet image. I didn’t want that! I’ve needed something to match the final product of the website! Better yet, I needed something awesome! So, I came up with this, which, obviously, pleased the client: LusoSub logoUnder the hood, this website is running my favourit CMS! For those who don’t know it, it’s made by OpenSolution. Now, what is there of so wonderfull about this CMS? Alot of things!

First, it’s a shareware/opensource. Second, it’s more than easy to use! Third… whith some knowledge, you can have your custom webdesing applied to it! Forth, doesn’t need any database. All it needs is a couple of flat filed SQL databases (translating, it’s just a bunch of files take store all your data in it). What’s the advantage of this? Well, installing this script takes approximately… 1 minute! That’s it… One single minute!

Anyway, why not visiting it, and looking at it with your own eyes? Just click HERE!

All comments are more than welcome ;)
